What Makes Love True

Tiffany & Co.'s new campaign, What makes love true is all about, well, love. The website, here, features true love stories that will make your heart melt, movies and songs centered around this theme, and a little itinerary of romance for two in New York... How sweet is that?

Although I haven't been sent a bracelet by Tiffany & Co. like some bloggers (here and here) and asked to share what I think makes love true, I thought it was such a good idea that I would do it too (not affiliated to Tiffany's or anything).

What makes love true is wanting the other’s happiness no matter what, even if it means sacrificing your own.

What makes love true to you?

Is Your Heart Jet Lagged?

I am officially obsessed with this song! Since a young age, I've always loved Simple Plan. I've listened to every one of their songs and know most of them by heart. Meanwhile, I've never heard them sing in french, so I was pretty surprised when I found this version. As soon as Pierre Bouvier sung the first words, I was entranced: his voice is even more amazing than when he sings in english... Pardon my drool. Anyways, here it is and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

All That Sparkles

Sparkle: Sephora by OPI - Sparkle Me Silver / Lacquer: Essie - Bachelorette Bash Sparkle: Deborah Lippmann - Boom Boom Pow / Lacquer: Nars - Adelita Sparkle: Hello Kitty - Pink Sprinkles / Lacquer: Butter London - Pink Ribbon

Need a little sparkle? Here are a few of my favorite combinations to had a little colour to any outfit. Of course, you can basically mix any colour of glitter to a nail lacquer or you could switch it up a little and only add the glitter to your thumb... But sometimes, the glitter nail polishes can be expensive (the Deborah Lippmann one? 24$ canadian. Yeah, I know). So you can always create your own by mixing one of those glitter tubes you can buy at an art store, to a clear nail top coat. There are tons of possibilities!

I also love this idea by Emily from Cupcakes and Cashmere. You can find the tutorial here. This is perfect for summer!

Love at First Sight

Christian Louboutin,

You never seize to amaze me with your shoe designs... First, you bring out these classic beauties. And then, these (1 and 2) fabulous show stoppers... Unfortunetly, they are far out of my budget range and I could never find a place to wear the last two... But, the other day, as I was browsing through my Grazia magazine, one of your newer creations caught my eye... and I immedietly fell in love. What first attracted me to your sandal was the color: I simply loved the combination of a vibrant purple and a nautical. Secondly, the stripes and the braided detail around the sandals remind of my favorite place... the beach. And thirdly, I also fell in love with the price... only $395! Alright, I know it's still expensive, but for these adorable sandals, I was shocked that the price wasn't higher.

All I have to say is, thank you Christian Louboutin for making these lovely shoes and thank you for making me look foward to each season to see what you have created.

xo

Beauty Must-Have: Rouge Coco Shine

I have finally found the perfect "lip pigment"... Rouge Coco Shine in Boy. I always believed that lip gloss was too "sticky" and that lip stick either was too fancy or barely lasted. But a few weeks ago, Chanel released this miracle: this lip shine is the perfect combination between a lip gloss and a lip stick. It lasts for hours (kind of like a lip gloss) and it's not "sticky" (like a lip stick). And what I also love about them is that every shade has it's own unique name inspired by Coco Chanel's life. How awesome is that? If you are considering buying one, I strongly recommend the Boy (named after her long-time boyfriend).

Happy Easter!

Spring Break

{Wilfred Free to Breathe T-Shirt; Old Navy Black Neutral Stripe Fedora; Topshop Poppy Floral Bandeau Bikini; Forever21 Abstract Art Bracelet and Tribal Colorblock Bracelet; Sass & Bide The Passing Shorts; TNA Taj Bag; Forever21 Leatherette Gladiator Sandals}

Spring break is almost here! This means a whole week of lounging around, having no worries about school, ect. It also means that down south, the beaches will be packed. Unfortunetly, I won't be able to experience the warm weather yet (soon, though!) but if I were going to spend a few days on the beach, here is one of the outfits I would opt for. Btw, one of the joys of living in Canada is that during the winter, you sometines have snowdays! No school!

Obsession Alert: Statement Necklaces

With spring around the corner, my current obsession has been statement necklaces. They're big, they're fun and they had a splash of color to any outfit. I love the idea of bright florals... It's girly, but very pretty. Here are a few necklaces I have my eye on... Unfortunetly, my favorite one is the necklace from Madewell, but they're all sold out... Anyways, have an amazing weekend!

Fragrances 101: Fun, Fresh Florals

From left to right, top to bottom: Jean Paul Gaultier Classique Eau de Parfum; Daisy by Marc Jacobs; Cartier Delices de Cartier Eau Fruitee; Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb; Kenzo Flower by Kenzo; Chloé

Spring is fast approaching and I can not wait to walk around outside, and smell the fragrance of fresh, spring flowers. Since there is still A LOT of snow and it doesn't seem as if flowers will be sprucing from the ground any time soon, I've rounded up a few fragrances that are fun and fresh. I haven't tried all of them yet (Daisy by Marc Jacobs is my favorite) but the fun and simple designs of the bottles pulled me right in.
